My name is Dylan, I am an amateur electrical engineer, instrument builder, and artist based in the Omaha Metro Area.
Since 2023 I've been involved with SoundArte.net.
In June 2024 I was awarded the Trudy's Teaching Artist Grant to teach a four part workshop on DIY Synthesizers.
Loess Labs is the name I release my synthesizers under. "Loess", which comes from the German "Löss", describes loosely-packed accumulations of sediment. In this case, I'm referring to the unique Loess Hills of the area I live.
"Labs" simply refers to the technical side of it.
