Subsonic VCF

Resonant CV filter inspired by the Ciat-Lonbarde AVDog.

Features:

  • Voltage controlled frequency
  • Resonance control
  • Works as EG, LFO, and slew

This circuit is a resonant VCF, but for CV. It's inspired by the AVDog module from the Ciat-Lonbarde Plumbutter and Rollz-5. You can send in CV/gate signals, and the filter smooths them out and resonates off them, creating swells and flutters in voltage.

Construction

For the X capacitors, I'd recommend between 1uF and 10uF; lower value means higher frequency, which means faster tempo. On my own build, I did two 10uF and two 4.7uF, but I feel like I could definitely go lower. If you're looking to build one myself, I'd recommend referring to my layout docs and schematics to build some on perfboard.
